Rich Harvest Farms Golf Club and Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois

What began as a fun way for a local entrepreneur to express his love for golf and course design now improves the lives of thousands of Illinois children every year.

In the 1980s Jerry Rich had an idea.  He would add a single golf hole to his property in Sugar Grove, Illinois. That single hole eventually became an (18) hole championship golf course and one of Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.”

Rich Harvest Farms Golf Club features overnight accommodations, multiple dining and event spaces, an indoor practice facility, theater room, horseback riding, fishing, and an automobile collection. Members can host guests and company events and enjoy multiple days golfing on one of America’s premier courses.

Rich Harvest Farms is also the home golf course to the Northern Illinois Men’s and Women’s golf teams, helping to emphasis the property’s focus on youth and amateur golf.

The Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois, a 501(c)(3) organization, has touched the lives of (300,000) Illinois children since its inception in 1998. Through no cost programs delivered through YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, schools and ministry groups, the Kids Golf Foundation teaches kids important life skills through the game of golf.

Housed in Sugar Grove at Rich Harvest Farms, the Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois will reach over 100 communities, all in Illinois. These programs will impact the lives of 12,500 Illinois youth in 2024.

Sugar Grove is lucky to have such an incredible facility and philanthropic organization as part of our business community.
